The eye and the camera
see more than the
mind knows.
Nathan Lyons
My interest is exploring the visual language that photographs create, where places, objects, artifacts, and remnants, past and present, become part of an ever-changing landscape altered by human activity. New and familiar places become part of my process of inquiry, personal narrative, and a repository for memory and storytelling.
Making photographs has always been a solo meditative walk and journey. My images may appear wistful, reflecting an inner, contemplative mood, possibly a sense of longing or yearning and frequently pondering, why make photographs?
Over time, with good fortune and intention, a quiet awareness may arise—an embodied sensation, a kinesthetic sense guiding me towards that place where light, and elemental forms merge in my mind's eye and the camera's viewfinder
Synchronicity, it is a soul-satisfying sublime feeling. It is ephemeral, and likely, a gift from beyond.

Photography has always been a solitary endeavor and meditative walk. My images often appear wistful, reflecting an inner, contemplative mood, possibly a sense of longing or yearning. When I’m fortunate, over time, and with intention, a quiet awareness may arise—an embodied sensation, a kinesthetic sense guiding me towards that place where light, form, and color merge in my mind's eye and camera's viewfinder. I experience joy when synchronicity and a soul-satisfying sublime feeling merge. It is ephemeral, like a gift from beyond.
